Introducing CAMP JOY: A Family Cabin in the Poconos
I am so excited to introduce you to a special place we are calling Camp Joy.
Its a 2/2 with a hot tub and will primarily be used as a vacation rental so right off the bat we are thinking- either couples sexy getaway OR a stuff-all-the-kids-in-the-car cabin family vacation. (*it sleeps 8*)
The big 3 words: VIBRANT, CAMP, WHIMSICAL.
In certain properties, we might stay true to the era it was built, but we went straight for function in this case. This is a vacation property on a ski resort. It has to attract kids and adults alike. It HAS to be colorful, fun and have all the little things that parents would want. Eye candy- lots of eye candy. (and coffee!)
I’m a HUGE FAN of film as you know, and the inspiration for this was Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’- a quirky tale of adolescent love. Wes Anderson is famous for his unique take on color palettes for his films.

I pulled our colors from Moonrise Kingdom but added some “camp pop” to the boards. Below are a collection of inspiration images pulled from Pinterest for our moodboard.
The biggest challenge we will encounter is acquiring colorful vintage goods to give it that camp vibe.
Another challenge will be to incorporate a sexy master bedroom that doesn’t feel too disconnected.
